Why Doesn’t a Service Radius Work Here?
A mileage radius assumes you can drive straight to the edge of the circle. Near the Chesapeake Bay you can’t: a 40-mile radius around Earleville crosses open water and can put a job over two hours away by road. That’s why Tidewater defines its service area by county.
Water Gets in the Way
Water gets in the way in almost every direction from Earleville. The town sits in southern Cecil County on the neck of land between the Bohemia and Sassafras rivers, with the Bay to the west, and the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal cuts across the upper Delmarva to the north.
Crossing the Canal
Crossing the canal is part of any trip north. Elkton, Newark and Bear all sit north of it, while Middletown sits south of it, on the same side as Earleville.
The Counties We Cover
The counties we cover are:
- Cecil County, MD
- New Castle County, DE
- Kent County, MD
- Kent County, DE
- Sussex County, DE
- Queen Anne’s County, MD
- Lancaster County, PA
- Chester County, PA
- Delaware County, PA
- Harford County, MD
Kent County, Maryland and Kent County, Delaware are two different counties on opposite sides of the state line, and we serve both.
Why Counties Work Better
Counties work better than a circle because they follow real boundaries. Permits are handled by county or town, building codes are adopted county by county, and a county line is something every customer already knows.
What This Means for You
What this means for you is simple: if your property is in one of those counties, we work there. Our Service Areas page lists them all, and we have local pages for Elkton, MD, Middletown, DE, Newark, DE, Chestertown, MD and Bear, DE.
